Elmhurst Recognized for Financial Reporting Excellence

The award has been presented to the city for 21 years.

Elmhurst Finance Director Marilyn Gaston recognized the city's accounting manager, Peg Oresanin, at Monday's City Council meeting.

The city's financial team was recognized for work in helping Elmhurst earn the Goverment Finance Officers Association Certificate of Achievement for the fiscal year 2010 financial audit.

The GFOA award honors goverments for publishing an easily readable and understandable report on all funds and financial transactions during a fiscal year. This is the 21st year Elmhurst has received the award.
