Preschool, Stormwater, Garbage and Bikes Among Committee Topics Monday

Also, committee members will get an update on Elmhurst Chamber's "shop local" campaign.

Elmhurst City Council members will meet in their standing committees at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, to discuss finances, a new preschool, stormwater control and more.

Development, Planning and Zoning Committee will discuss a request for a conditional use permit to construct a preschool at 411-415 S. Spring Road and  a request to amend the city's comprehensive plan to include a proposed bicycle plan. The committee also will hear an update on the "Got It in Elmhurst" campaign.

Public Works and Buildings Committee will discuss the Gladys Avenue right-of-way vacation, and hear updates on the southwest Elmhurst wet weather control facility, and the refuse and recycling roll-out.

Finance, Council Affairs and Administrative Services Committee will review a draft tax increment financing and sales tax incentive policy. Committee members also will review the property tax rebate program.

The Public Affairs and Safety Committee will not meet on Monday.

Public comment is welcome at all committees. Meetings will be held at City Hall, 209 N. York St.
