Elmhurst League Gets Out the Vote

Not a registered voter? Stop by the Elmhurst Public Library next month and get signed up.

The League of Women Voters of Elmhurst will be available at Elmhurst Public Library three days next month to register voters.

League members who are also deputy registrars will be in the lobby of the library, 125 S. Prospect Ave., on the following days:

  • Saturday, Feb. 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Monday, Feb. 17, from 3 to 8 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 6 to 9 p.m.

A prospective voter can register if they are a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old by Nov. 4, 2014, (new this year) and a resident of the precinct for 30 days as of March 18, 2014, which is the next election.

As of Jan. 1, 17-year olds that will be 18 by the General Election Nov. 4 may register and vote in the March 18 Primary Election. Registration drives have been scheduled with several local high schools. To register, bring two forms of identification, one with a current address.
