On the consent agenda tonight, in addition to approval of minutes and accounts payable, the council is expected to refer the creation of a new tax increment finance district in north Elmhurst to the Development, Planning and Zoning Committee and the Economic Development Commission.

Aldermen also are expected to refer to the Finance, Council Affairs and Administrative Services Committee the property tax rebate program.

The consent agenda also includes reports on the streetscape engineering proposal, sidewalk repair program, and lease renewal for 388 Carol Lane, which is used for storage space for the Elmhurst Historical Museum.

Aldermen also are expected to approve an ordinance authorizing the sale by auction of city property.

Recapture agreements for Faith Christian Reformed, and Timothy Place and Christian Healtcare also are on the consent agenda. Recapture agreements generally allow the city to recapture from the developer costs associated with public utility improvements to a site.
