Elmhurst City Council is Meeting Tonight

Council will hear a report on the 2011-12 budget.

Elmhurst City Council will meet tonight, Monday, March 7, at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, 209 N. York St.

Here’s what the agenda looks like:

After a time for public comment, the council is slated to approve the consent agenda. In additional to approval of minutes and accounts payable, items on the consent agenda include:

  • Public Affairs and Safety Committee recommendation to install a yield sign at Saylor Avenue and Wilson Street
  • Public Affairs and Safety Committee recommendation to allow Community Bank of Elmhurst to hold its 4 on the 4th run July 4
  • Public Affairs and Safety Committee recommendation to install a β€œno right turn on red” sign for northbound traffic on Prospect at Butterfield Road
  • Development, Planning and Zoning Committee report on a request by McKenna Builders for a conditional use permit and variations to build a townhome residence at 357 W. First St. Committee member Susan Rose did not sign the recommendation.
  • an ordinance to sell city property
  • an ordinance to approve the purchase of 1,500 automated water meter reading units for $123,000
  • an ordinance approving design engineering services for an anaerobic digester at the wastewater treatment plant
  • resolution approving a well abandonment agreement
  • resolution approving a highway authority agreement between BP Products and the city of Elmhurst
  • resolution approving an environmental land use control by the city of Elmhurst
  • resolution approving an agreement between 538 Elmhurst LLC and the city of Elmhurst, and Cook and DuPage counties

The council will then hear a report from Mayor Pete DiCianni, and reports from city manager Tom Borchert on the status of the stormwater comprehensive plan and the 2011-12 budget.
