UPDATED: City of Elmhurst Standing Committees Are on a Different Schedule This Week

Committees will meet Tuesday and Wednesday instead of Monday.

The city of Elmhurst's four standing committees will meet this week, but not on their regular Monday schedule. Two of the committees will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, due to the Columbus Day holiday. Two others will meet on Wednesday, Oct. 10.

Tuesday Meetings:

The Development, Planning and Zoning Committee will discuss a request for a front yard setback variation for an unenclosed front porch at 459 N. Addison Avenue.

The Public Works and Buildings Committee agenda includes discussions on sanitary system improvements, southwest Elmhurst wet weather control facility, the Gladys Avenue right-of-way vacation and an request by the Elmhurst Park District to place a sign in the right of way at 375 W. First St.

Wednesday Meetings:

Finance, Council Affairs and Administrative Services, will meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10. Committee members will review dental insurance, recommendations for health savings account and flexible spending account administrative services, and consultant contract renewals. The committee also will begin a discussion on the 2012 tax levy.

At 6:30 p.m., Public Affairs and Safety Committee will discuss an extension to a modification agreement between the city of Elmhurst and Bensenville Fire Protection District 1.

All committee meetings will be held at City Hall, 209 N. York St., and public comment is welcome.
