Aldermen Will Meet in Committees Monday to Discuss Tax Levy, Water Rates, Storm Water and More

Visitors have an opportunity to speak at the end of each meeting.

Three of the four standing committees of the Elmhurst City Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 8, at City Hall, 209 N. York St. The Public Affairs and Safety Committee will not meet.

The public will be invited to speak for up to three minutes at the end of each meeting.

Items up for discussion are as follows:

Development, Planning and Zoning Committee

  • Request for amended conditional use for the purpose of "introducing" assisted living units to the independent living building and increasing the number of total units from 362 to 390 at Lexington Square, 400 W. Butterfield Road. The property is within the R4 Limited General Residence District.
  • Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church, 149 W. Brush Hill Road, is seeking amended conditional use for a wall sign on the property, which also is in the R4 Limited General Residence District.

Finance, Council Affairs and Administrative Services Committee

  • Review health and dental insurance broker/consultant services
  • Review request from Flagg Creek Water Reclamation District
  • Continued review of 2011 tax levy
  • Continued review of electric aggregation
  • Continued review of water rate increases from DuPage Water Commission
