Woman Reports Being Robbed at Gunpoint in Elmhurst

Two men made off with the victim's purse.

Elmhurst police have released information about an armed robbery that reportedly occurred during the overnight hours last Thursday.

A woman told police that two men robbed her at gunpoint while she was walking on Arbor Drive, which is just south of Butterfield Road and north of Brush Hill Road near Elm Creek Apartments. 

Police reported that at 12:05 a.m. on Friday, June 7, the two men charged her and displayed a weapon, then pushed her to the ground and took her purse. Police did not provide a detailed description of the men.

The victim told police that they got into what appeared to be a silver Pontiac Grand Am or Grand Prix and took off on Brush Hill Road.

Her black purse, which contained her ID, debit card, checkbook and other items were not located, police said.
