Wanted Panhandler Caught Holding Stolen Library Books: Cops
The Oak Park Library will pursue charges against the panhandler, police said.
A wanted man panhandling on Riverside Drive was caught holding stolen library books, police said.
Kevin Beauregard, 24, of 306 S. Illinois Ave. in Villa Park was arrested shortly before 1 p.m. Friday on a DuPage County warrant charging him with failing to appear in court for a soliciting case.
Not only was Beauregard a wanted man, but he was also found to be in possession of three books from the Oak Park Library, police said.
"Oak Park Library will pursue charges as the books were taken without permission," police said.
