Villa Park Man Faces Child Porn Charges
Villa Park, DuPage County authorities assisted in undercover investigation.
A 29-year-old Villa Park man was arrested by Wheaton police on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, on six felony child pornography counts in an undercover investigation in which two other agencies assisted local officers.
The arrest of Robert J. Phillips came after an “extensive undercover Internet investigation” by Wheaton police, Villa Park police and the DuPage County Sexual Predator Electronic Exploitation Division, according to a release the city posted Tuesday on its website.
Phillips, who was booked at the Wheaton Police Department, is being held in lieu of $75,000 bond at the DuPage County Jail..
