Vacationing Elmhurst Man's Pistol, Diamond Ring, Chain & Cash Card Stolen
The man's granddaughter had someone "spend the night" with her at his house and the cops suspect he might have stolen everything, police said.
An Elmhurst man returned to town from a vacation to find his pistol, diamond ring, chain and cash card had been stolen.
Along with the jewelry, ATM card and Walther P22, the thief also took the case for the gun, police said.
The man reportedly told police "his granddaughter was watching the home and she had her friend (suspect) spend the night."
An officer planned on speaking with this "friend," police said, and the criminal investigation remains pending.
