Two Elmhurst Businesses Burglarized Overnight Monday

Thief reportedly gained access to adjacent buildings through hole in the wall, police said.

Two North Elmhurst restaurants were broken into overnight Monday, Elmhurst police said.

Someone forced open a cash register at Nathan's Noodles, 683 N. York Road, between 10:30 p.m. Dec. 10 and 10:45 a.m. Dec. 11.

A hole leading to the adjacent business, Rosati's Pizza, was found in a storage room at Nathan's. Police said a cash register had been removed and a lock box forced open at Rosati's, 687 N. York. The crime reportedly happened during the same time period as the Nathan's Noodles heist.

Police did not release information on the amount of money taken from each business, but they did say they have no suspects.

An investigation is under way.
