Two Arrested for Aggravated DUI, Citizens Chase Down Alleged Hit-and-Run Driver

Also, man arrested for public intoxication was found laying on the sidewalk in front of the police station, police said.

DUI Arrests

Esdras Lopez, 26, 317 S. Addison, Addison, was arrested and charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol after police pulled over his green Toyota Avalon for improper lane use at Lake and Route 83 at 9:25 p.m. June 15. Police said he provided officers with a false name, and was found to have two warrants for failure to appear on charges of DUI and driving with a suspended license. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Tracy Kennedy, 23, 13 Maple St., Three Oaks, Mich., was arrested and charged with aggravated DUI and driving with a suspended license after police pulled over his silver Lexus for disobeying a traffic signal at Emroy and North at 3:54 a.m. June 15. He was taken to DuPage County Jail and his vehicle towed for forfeiture.

Theodore Krillies, 33, 435 S. Riverside, Villa Park, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his red Buick Rendevous for improper lane use at York and First streets at 2:15 a.m. June 15. He was released on bond.

Marcin Sanetra, 27, 8551 N. Arnold Ave. Apt. 3SE, River Grove, was arrested and charged with DUI, disobeying a traffic control device and leaving the scene of an accident after his black Jeep Grand Cherokee was involved in a hit-and-run accident with a vehicle driven by a 37-year-old Bensenville woman at York and North at 8:05 a.m. June 16, police said. Two witnesses followed Sanetra and blocked him in at Willow and Third, and forced him to go back to the scene, police said.

Battery Arrest

Robert L. Baldwin, 63, 641 George St., Bensenville, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct/obscene language, and battery/physical contact of a provoking nature, on the 600 block of West North Avenue at 4:37 p.m. June 17. He was released on bond.

Solicitation of Contributions

Edward L. Thomas, 30, 338 N. Ardmore Apt. B, Villa Park, was arrested and charged with obstructing identification and unlawful solicitation of contributions on a highway after police found him standing in the road at Route 83 and St. Charles with a sign that read, "HOMELESS. Will work for food. Anything is appreciated! God bless!" Police said Thomas was wanted on three warrants. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Possession of Cannabis

Yaroslav Bulakh, 27, 1517 Mitchell, Mt. Prospect, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after police pulled him over for no rear registration plate at Grand and Weigel at 12:21 a.m. June 14. He was released on bond.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Ashley Ulrich, 19, 518 Van Auken, Elmhurst, and Anthony Suriano, 37, 703 Liberty, Wheaton, were arrested after police responded to a call for a suspicious person near the park building at Crestview Park, on the 200 block of East Crestview, at 9:59 p.m. June 17. Suriano was charged with disorderly conduct/public urination and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ulrich was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were released on bond.

Public Intoxication

Christopher Perry, 33, 325 W. Green, Bensenville, was cited for public intoxication after police said he was found laying on the sidewalk in front of the police station, 125 E. First St., at 4:09 p.m. June 18.

Possession of Alcohol in Public

Tony L. Ray, 38, 576 N. Kenilworth Ave., was cited for possession of open alcohol in public on the 600 block of North York at 7:05 p.m. June 17. He was released on bond.
