Traffic Stops in Elmhurst Net Myriad Arrests for DUI, Possession of Cannabis

DUI Arrests

A 15-year-old girl was arrested and charged with hit and run, improper backing, driving without a license, violating curfew, consumption of alcohol by a minor and zero tolerance after she backed out of a driveway on the 600 block of Bryan and struck a parked vehicle at 1:43 a.m. Dec. 15. A teenage passenger was cited for curfew and consumption of alcohol by a minor. They were released to their parents.

Sebastian Filimowicz, 30, 3940 N. Newcastle, Chicago, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his gray Nissan Rogue for violating a red light and improper lane use at North and Emroy at 9:59 p.m. Dec. 19. He was released on bond.

Caroline Hollis, 28, 1185 S. Walnut, Arlington Heights, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over her Nissan Altima for improper lane use at Butterfield and York at 11:56 p.m. Dec. 20. She was released on bond.

Jerry Kelly, 53, 583 N. Emroy, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with DUI after a police officer on patrol saw his white Chrysler Town and Country striking the safety cones at Melrose and North Avenue at 2:36 a.m. Dec. 21. He also was charged with improper lane use and disobeying a traffic signal. He was released on bond.

Samantha N. Strawbridge, 18, 523 E. Park Ave., Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with zero tolerance DUI and driving without a license after police responded to a loud party on Vallette and Spring at 3:56 a.m. Dec. 22. Police pulled over her black Lincoln LS for disobeying a traffic control device sign. A passenger also was arrested and charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor. They were released on bond.

Michael Merrinette, 23, 1112 Highridge, Lombard, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his black Chevrolet Silverado for improper lane use, failure to signal and driving too fast for conditions at Lake Street and Route 83 at 2:07 a.m. Dec. 22. He was released on bond.

Andrew C. Johnson, 23, 479 Conservatory Lane, Aurora, was arrested and charged with DUI, improper lane use and disobeying a stop sign after his white Cadillac CTS was involved in an accident with a 57-year-old Elmhurst woman at York and Cayuga at 6:36 a.m. Dec. 26. 

Juana Solis, 32, 1413 N. 43rd Court, Stone Park, was arrested and charged with DUI and driving without a license after police pulled over her brown Buick Century for following too closely and improper lane use at North and Villa at 8:39 p.m. Dec. 29. She was released on bond.

Sonia Ramirez, 28, 540 Milton Lane, Hoffman Estates, was arrested and charged with DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol and driving without a license after police pulled over her silver Ford Explorer for speeding, failure to signal and improper lane use at Lake and Route 83 at 11:47 p.m. Dec. 28. She was released on bond. Passenger Miguel Trujillo, 22, 6 W. Ried Park Ave., Villa Park, was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol. He was released at the scene.

Oscar Carillo, 31, 648 S. York Apt. 212, Bensenville, was arrested and charged with DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol and driving with a suspended license after police pulled over his Mitsubishi Montero for speeding and following too closely at Grand and Oaklawn at 1:28 a.m. Dec. 29. He also was wanted out of DuPage County for failure to appear and obstructing. He was released on bond.

Desneiges Chrysokos, 20, 2N051 Joyce Ave., Lombard, was arrested and charged with DUI and possession of alcohol by a minor after police pulled over her Dodge Dynasty for an unsafe tire at North Avenue and River Glen at 2:39 a.m. Dec. 29. She was released on bond.

Vinodkumar Amin, 42, 210 Addison, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving too fast for conditions and unsafe tires after his silver Toyota 4-Runner was involved in an accident with a 54-year-old Elmhurst man at North and Berteau at 9:14 p.m. Dec. 31. He was released on bond.

Calvin Brown, 19, 37 King Arthur Court Apt. 3, Northlake, was arrested and charged with zero tolerance DUI and possession of cannabis after police pulled over his gray Oldsmobile Cutlass for improper lane use at Claremont and Prospect at 3:18 a.m. Jan. 1. He was released on bond.

DUI-Drugs

Maureen T. Lovecchio, 55, 401 51st Ave., Bellwood, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs after her red Pontiac Grand Prix as involved in an accident with a 66-year-old Elmhurst man at St. Charles and York at 1:45 p.m. Dec. 23. She was released on bond.

Possession of Cannabis

Angelo Palmero, 21, 745 S. Main St., Lombard, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis after police pulled over his gray Hyundai Accent for one headlight at St. Charles and West Avenue at 12:04 a.m. Dec. 6. He was released on bond.

Marcus W. Harper, 26, 470 Walnut, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after police pulled over his white Honda Civic for expired registration at Route 83 and Second Street at 3:48 p.m. Dec. 12. He was released on bond.

Emmanuel J. Sullivan, 26, 1919 Herbert, Berkeley, and Antoine R. Kirby, 26, 4500 Altgeld Apt. 2, Chicago, were arrested and charged with possession of cannabis after police responded to a call for people smoking cannabis in a silver Chevrolet Malibu at 944 S. York St. at 11:53 a.m. Dec. 19. Kirby also was found to have a warrant out of DuPage County. They were both released on bond.

John Henslee, 19, 540 S. Westmore/Meyers Road, Lombard, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and property damage after police stopped him on the 800 block of North York Street at 12:42 p.m. Dec. 26. He also was wanted on a warrant for retail theft. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Sargon Chlimon, 27, 6328 N. Whipple St., Chicago, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after police pulled over his gray Chevrolet Monte Carlo for expired registration at North and Villa at 4:20 p.m. Dec. 30. He was released on bond.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Kevin Richardson, 26, 8504 W. 45th Place Apt. GA, Lyons, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after police pulled him over for speeding at York and Fremont at 9:24 a.m. Dec. 18. He was released at the scene.
