Traffic slowed to a crawl this afternoon on Interstate 290 in Elmhurst, an unusual event at 1:30 p.m. during a holiday week.

Chicago Sun-Times is reporting Elmhurst police were able to pull over two suspects who fled after a robbery in Palatine, which caused the backup.
