Tour de Elmhurst—Cops Come Across Another Drunken Cyclist: Police

The drunken Elmhurst man fell off his bicycle into the grass, police said.

For the third time this month, the Elmhurst police said they encountered a drunken bicyclist.

This one, 50-year-old Kenneth Conway of 335 N. River Glen Ave., was charged with public intoxication.

About 5 p.m. Wednesday, someone told the cops they saw Conway riding his bike on West Second Street.

Conway "moved toward the curb and just fell off his bicycle into the grass," police said.

Conway was "highly intoxicated," police said. "His blue, Auto-Bike, Classic was transported to the (police station) and held for safekeeping."

Conway was released on bond.
