Elmhurst Police Report Suspicious Photographers and Dine-and-Dashers

Suspects in a Villa Park bank robbery stopped in Elmhurst.

Theft

Police responded to a report of five people who skipped out on their $62.37 bill for food at a restaurant in the 100 block of North York Road around 10 p.m. on Dec. 22.

A man reported to seeing a Craigslist ad for several construction barricades, valued at $550, that he believed had been stolen from a job site in Elmhurst on Nov. 26. He attempted to contact the seller to see if the barricades belonged to his company.

Suspicious Circumstances

A resident in the 300 block of South Hawthorne said he saw two men taking pictures of his home around Noon on Dec. 22. The men said they were from the bank and then asked the resident if they could take interior pictures, which the resident declined. Both men then left the area.

Villa Park Robbery Suspects

Elmhurst police stopped a vehicle with three armed robbery suspects at Lake Street and Villa around 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 21. The suspects were wanted in connection to a robbery in Villa Park and were taken into custody by Villa Park police.
