Top of the Blotter: Nearly Disappearing Cocaine and an Almost Getaway in a Jaguar

The following arrest information was supplied by the Elmhurst Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Drug Possession
Robert M. Kouzoukas, 27, of the 300 block of West North Avenue, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and attempted obstruction of justice after police found him with a beer can as he exited a vehicle in a parking lot near Hahn Street and York Road around 8:30 p.m. on June 1. As police approached, Kouzoukas put a bag of cocaine in his mouth and tried to swallow it. Police were able to stop him from doing so and arrested him. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Retail Theft
Daryl Moore, 43, of the 2700 block of West Ogden Avenue, was charged with retail theft after police determined he took several bottles of baby formula and got into a gray Jaguar driven by Joe Williams, 50, of Westmont, around 6 p.m. on May 31. Moore was taken to DuPage County Jail. Williams was charged with no driver’s license and no insurance. He was released on $200 bond.

Blanca Flores, 41, of Berkeley, was charged with retail theft after police found her with two bottles of alcohol and miscellaneous deli items that she did not pay for at a store in the 200 block of South Route 83 around 3:15 p.m. on June 2. She was given a no trespass order for the store and released on bond.
