Three Men Taken to County Jail on Warrants Thursday

Also, police investigate sexual texts to student with special needs, and a resident believes her neighbor is leaving food on her window sill.

Warrant Arrests

Jesse A. Smetters, 29, 443 Maple, Wood Dale, and Adam S. Blair, 23, 504 E. Park Ave., Villa Park, taken to DuPage County Jail after police pulled over the black Buick Regal they were riding in for speeding at Interstate 290 and Route 83 at 4:11 p.m. April 25. Smetters was arrested on a failure to appear warrant for a DUI charge out of DuPage County, and Blair was found to have three warrants out of DuPage and Wood Dale related to drug possession and other charges.

William Shelby, 28, 6 N. Fernwood Drive, Bolingbrook, was arrested on a no-bond warrant out of Woodridge for domestic battery after police pulled over his red Chevrolet Impala for no seat belt at York and Lake at 7:09 p.m. April 25. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Vonkisha L. Jordan, 38, 523 W. Main St. Apt. 5, Bensenville, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant out of DuPage County after police pulled over a white Chevrolet Impala for speeding at Route 83 and Lake Street at 4:57 p.m. April 21. Jordan was released on bond.

Darius Robinson, 23, 8837 S. Morgan, Chicago, turned himself in at the Elmhurst Police Station on a warrant out of DeKalb County at 6:56 p.m. April 13. He was released on bond.

Jose Rodriguez, 31, 2244 Rose St. Apt. 3, Franklin Park, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on a retail theft charge after police pulled over his black Honda Accord at Shell, 654 W. North Ave., at 5:30 p.m. April 11. He was released on bond.

Phillip Wilson, 60, 954 N. York, Elmhurst, was arrested on a warrant out of DuPage County at his home at 2:17 a.m. April 7. He was released with a new court date.

Harassment by Phone

A York High School student with special needs has received several text messages that are sexual in nature from a 37-year-old male. A police report was filed at 8:20 p.m. April 24. An investigation is pending.

Trespass Investigation

A resident of the 100 block of Mayo Court told police at 10:38 a.m. April 25 that her neighbor has been prowling around and leaving food on her property and window sill. Attempts to contact the neighbor were unsuccessful, police said.

Possession of Cannabis

Salvador Jimenez, 25, 9626 Addison, Franklin Park, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after police said they saw him "make an exchange" in the parking lot at Dominick's, 215 S. Route 83, at 4:02 p.m. April 25. Police also found a one-hitter pipe in his black Nissan Altima. He was released on bond.

Disorderly Conduct

Michael I. Will, 58, 705 W. Liberty St., Wheaton, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after police were called to Jewel, 153 E. Schiller, for a report of an intoxicated subject at 5:32 p.m. April 23. Police said Will was highly intoxicated and screaming obscenities at officers. He was released on bond.
