Three Men Arrested for Soliciting Without a Permit
The following arrest information was supplied by the Elmhurst Police Department.
Andrew Jones, 34, of 912 Pomona Drive, Champaign; Michael Bowman, 22, of 912 Pomona Drive, Champaign; and Andrew Smither, 29, of 3804 Windsong Lane, Elamsville, Ind., were arrested for soliciting without a permit at 5:38 p.m. May 26 at 7-Eleven, 572 S. York St.
Police received a call from a neighboring business that a man with a gun was seen dragging someone against their will. Police did not report any weapons charges, but Jones and Smither, in addition to being charged with soliciting without a permit, were charged with disorderly conduct.
All three were released on I-bond.
