Three Arrested for Zero Tolerance DUI

Nineteen-year-olds also arrested for possession of cannabis.

Zero Tolerance DUI
Juliana Magana, 19, 211 E. Kensington, Chicago, was arrested and charged with speeding, consumption of alcohol by a minor and zero tolerance driving under the influence of alcohol after police pulled over her blue Toyota Corolla at North and Highland avenues at 1:53 a.m. Oct. 1.

Mariana Camacho, 20, 17W702 Butterfield Road #107, Oakbrook Terrace, was arrested and charged with driving without a license, driving without insurance and zero tolerance DUI after police pulled over her blue Pontiac Sunfire for an improper turn at North Avenue and Route 83 at 3:10 a.m. Oct. 1. She was released on bond.

Zain Merchant, 20, 964 Virginia Lane, was arrested and charged with zero tolerance DUI and consumption of alcohol by a minor after police pulled over his red Nissan 300 ZX for expired registration at Church and Poplar streets at 3:05 a.m. Oct. 13. He was released on I-bond. A passenger in the vehicle, Lucas M. Griganavicius, 19, 441 N. Addison, Elmhurst, was charged under local ordinance with consumption of alcohol by a minor and released on I-bond.

Possession of Cannabis
Jonathan Valerio, 19, 21941 Kinsley Court, Plainfield, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without insurance and improper display of registration after police pulled over his red Acura TL for no front license plate at York and Interstate 290 at 8:21 p.m. Oct. 13. A passenger in the car, Eric W. Smith, 19, 2918 Sheridan Drive, Woodridge, was arrested for possession of cannabis. Both were released on I-bond.
