Telephone Con Artist Threatens to Kill Woman, Several Solicitors Cited
Alcohol and cannabis arrests also reported last week.
Harassment
A resident of the 100 block of North Michigan Avenue told police she has been receiving numerous harassing phone calls between 1:30 p.m. June 7 and 3:17 p.m. June 13, with the caller saying she won money and car from UPS Mega Sweepstakes for the Elderly. The male caller told the victim's daughter, after she told him to stop calling, that he was coming to the house to kill her. An investigation is pending.

Cameron Carson, 20, 2903 Jasmine Lane, Killeen, Texas, and Shawn L. Wilson, 23, 102 Emberwood Drive, Richmond Va., were cited under local ordinance for soliciting without display of certificate after police responded to a report of two men soliciting reading material at 1:45 p.m. June 4. Both subjects were working for Ultimate Unity Inc. They were released on bond.

James Ulmar, 19, 1409 Western, Cincinnati, and Jason Gamble, 25, 737 Valley Forge Road, Jacksonville, Fla., were arrested and charged with solicitation without a permit after a resident told police they were rude and used profanity at 6:40 p.m. June 6. They were released on bond.
Public Intoxication
Ceferino Figueroa, 59, 4724 W. 20th, Cicero, was cited for disorderly conduct/public intoxication after police said he was found stumbling in traffic at West and St. Charles Road at 8:08 p.m. June 6.
Robert L. Baldwin, 63, 641 George St., Bensenville, was cited for disorderly conduct/public intoxication after police said he was found lying on the ground intoxicated at North and Ferndale at 2:28 p.m. June 10. He was released on bond.
Possession of Cannabis
Julia Gluck, 20, 265 Middaugh, Clarendon Hills, was charged with possession of cannabis after police stopped her silver Hyundai Elantra on the 800 block of South Chatham at 9:33 p.m. June 6. She was released on bond.
Possession of Alcohol in Public
Tony Ray, 38, 576 N. Kenilworth, Elmhurst, was arrested and cited for consumption of alcohol in public after police received a call for a suspicious person at North and York at 12:33 a.m. June 9. He was released on bond.
Criminal Trespass
A man who routinely sleeps on the bench along the south wall of Maple Tree Restaurant was issued a no-trespass order at 4:46 a.m. June 8. Police found him there while responding to another call, and an employee of the restaurant stated she no longer wants him to sleep there. Police did not release his name.
