Stranger in SUV Tries to Lure Lincoln Student by Offering Her a Ride

Incident happened Tuesday, March 20, after school.

A female student at Lincoln Elementary School was approached by a man at 3:26 p.m. Tuesday while she was waiting for her parent to pick her up.

The student got out of school at 3 p.m. and walked southbound on Fairfield to Crescent Avenue, where she waited for her parent. A gray SUV with tinted windows drove up, and a dark-skinned, bald man with a brown mustache and wearing a dark blue Cubs shirt rolled down the passenger side window and asked her if she wanted a ride home.

The girl said no and ran back to the school to wait for her mother, police said.
