Son of DuPage County District 2 Board Member Arrested for Selling Cocaine

Collin O'Shea faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.

The 18-year-old son of DuPage County Board member and judge candidate Patrick O'Shea has been arrested and charged with selling cocaine.

Collin O'Shea, a Lombard resident, was arrested by Lombard and DuPage County law enforcement officials last week after a month-long investigation, according to an article in the Daily Herald.

The article said he is charged with "attempting" to sell cocaine, but DuPage County State's Attorney spokesman Paul Darrah clarified the charges, saying that is "not fully correct."

"He is charged with selling cocaine, not 'attempting' to sell cocaine," Darrah said.

He was released on bond. The crime is a Class 1 Felony, and if convicted, O'Shea faces four to 15 years in prison.

Patrick O'Shea, an attorney, has served DuPage District 2 for more than 20 years. He is running for DuPage County Circuit Court Judge in the March 20 Primary.
