Six People Arrested for DUI Last Weekend

Arrests fall during the latest enforcement period sponsored by a grant from IDOT.

Elmhurst police reported a number of arrests for driving under the influence of alcohol last weekend, June 23 through the early morning hours of June 25. through July 4 because they are in the middle of the latest state-sponsored enforcement campaign designed to reduce fatal and serious injury on the roads.

The following DUI arrests were reported:

Kyle R. Sullivan, 18, 311 Chandler, was arrested and charged with DUI, driving without insurance, consumption of alcohol by a minor and possession of cannabis after police pulled over his red Chrysler Town and Country for improper lane use at York and Adams at 1:30 a.m. June 23. He was released on I-bond.

Tom M. Raine, 40, 37 Oakview Court, South Elgin, was arrested and charged with DUI and driving without insurance after police pulled over his Mitsubishi Montero for disobeying a traffic control device at North and Highland at 3:44 a.m. June 23. He was released on bond.

Melina T. Rivera, 31, 740 Georgian Court, Addison, was arrested and charged with DUI and driving without insurance after police pulled over her blue Ford Edge for following too closely at York and Grand at 2:07 a.m. June 24. She was released on bond.

Andrea Carrillo, 19, 449 Prairie, Elk Grove Village, was arrested and charged with zero tolerance DUI, driving without a license and consumption of alcohol by a minor after police pulled over her black Honda Accord for speeding and improper lane use on Route 83 between North and Lake streets at 4 a.m. June 24. Police found brass knuckles in her vehicle. She was released on bond.

Peter E. Mulligan, 54, 516 Park Manor, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his black Ford F150 for improper lane use and disobeying a stop sign at Wilson and Kearsage at 12:57 a.m. June 25. He was released on bond.

Stephanie M. Russell, 25, 128 Juliann Drive Apt. 10, Wood Dale, was arrested and charged with DUI and driving without insurance after police pulled over her black Chevrolet Cavalier for failure to signal at Butterfield and Route 83 at 3:53 a.m. June 25. He was released on bond.
