Seven Arrested for DUI and a Juvenile is Beaten With a Brick

Villa Park man also arrested on a warrant related to an aggravated assault/use of a deadly weapon charge.

Aggravated DUI

Francisco R. Garcia-Lopez, 28, 1021 Ferrari Drive Apt. 2A, Bensenville, was arrested and charged with aggravated DUI, driving with a license suspended for DUI and driving without insurance after police pulled over his green Toyota 4-Runner for speeding and improper lane use at County Line and Lake Street at 12:08 a.m. June 23. He was taken to DuPage County Jail and his vehicle towed for forfeiture.

Trevor Gorman, 21, 780 Stratford, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after police pulled over his silver Jaguar S-Type for speeding and improper lane use at Madison and Kearsage at 1:34 a.m. June 20. He was released on bond.

Cara E. Watkins, 24, 8655 Narragansett Ave., Morton Grove, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over her red Chevrolet Astro for signal violation at York and St. Charles Road at 12:56 a.m. June 23. She was released on bond.

Heather Yarocki-Murray, 39, 213 Troy Lane, Lombard, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over her green Chevrolet Equinox for improper lane use and speeding at Route 83 and Lake Street at 4:18 a.m. June 23. She was released on bond.

Dennis D. Brown, 66, 482 S. Holly Ave., Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with DUI after police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on the 300 block of Commonwealth Lane at 2:50 p.m. June 25. He was released on bond.

Michael Samuels, 42, 1502 S. Elmwood First Floor, Berwyn, was arrested and charged with DUI, driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance and illegal transportation of alcohol after police pulled over his black Chrysler PT Cruiser for speeding, following too close and failure to dim headlights at North and Willow at 9:05 p.m. June 26. He was released on bond.

Julia Pagan, 27, 1022 N. Central Apt. 2, Chicago, was arrested and charged with DUI and driving without insurance after police pulled over her silver Hyundai Sonata for improper turn at North and Addison at 1:54 a.m. June 27. She was released on bond.

Possession of Cannabis

Sabeel Hafiz, 25, 11 Yorkshire Woods, Oak Brook, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis after police responded to a call for a suspicious vehicle on the 500 block of South York at 9:12 p.m. June 24. He was released on bond.

Aggravated Battery

While on patrol on the 100 block of Fellows Court at 4:30 a.m. June 24, Elmhurst police came upon juveniles fighting. One of them was taken to the hospital for "large, open wounds to the head from being hit with a brick repeatedly," police said. A juvenile inside the apartment was taken into custody as a missing juvenile out of Villa Park. 

Domestic Battery

Nicholas D. Wassell, 42, 5850 E. Beverly, Hanover Park, was arrested and charged with domestic battery on the 600 block of West North Avenue at 6:17 p.m. June 27. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Warrant Arrests

Christopher Krieg, 24, 412 N. Princeton, Villa Park, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of aggravated assault/use of a deadly weapon out of DuPage County after police responded to a call for a suspicious person at Cottage Hill and Adelaide at 12:27 a.m. June 19. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Yadira Watson, 22, 8811 S. Lowe Apt. 1, Chicago, was arrested on a warrant out of DuPage County for failure to appear after a traffic stop at Lake Street and Route 83 at 1:15 a.m. June 15. She was released on bond.

Victor Flores, 56, 557 Comstock, Elmhurst, was arrested on a warrant out of DuPage County for contempt of court at Arena, 630 W. Lake St., at 12:02 a.m. June 22. He was released with a new court date.

Brendan J. Gallagher, 21, 149 Quincy, Elmhurst, turned himself in on three warrants at 2:57 p.m. June 27. He was released with a new court date.
