Recent Arrests in Elmhurst Include Theft, DUI and Disorderly Conduct

Theft Arrests

Maria T. Ciaccia, 19, 841 S. Chatham, Addison, and Julia Miller, 18, 3115 Aspen Ave., Maple Plain, Minn., were cited under city ordinance for theft and consumption of alcohol by a minor after an incident on the 100 block of Fellows Court, at 5:25 a.m. April 1. A victim who lived at the apartment said the girls stole his sweatpants and wallet when they left. The girls were released on I-bond.

Stephen E. Arrington, 21, 258 George St. Apt. F, Bensenville, was arrested on multiple charges after an incident at 3:42 a.m. April 2 at Dominick’s, 215 S. Route 83. Police responded to the store for a report of a retail theft. Security officers told police the offender fled the scene. He was located and found to have an active warrant out of DuPage County. A 750 ml bottle of Jose Cuervo and a 750 ml bottle of Sutter Muscto wine that was taken from Dominick’s was also in his possession, police said. He was arrested on the outstanding warrant, charged on local charges with retail theft, and issued citations for driving an uninsured vehicle and no valid drivers license. He was released on bond.

Dwayne Richardson, 41, 1317 Providence Drive, Elgin, was arrested on multiple charges after an incident at 5:41 p.m. April 8 at Dominick’s, 215 S. Route 83. Police said Richardson removed several bottles of alcohol from the store without paying and was identified as someone who has stolen items from the store in the past. He fled from police in a Buick Regal and was involved in an accident in the area of Armitage and Emroy streets. He was placed into custody and found to be driving under the influence of drugs. He was charged with aggravated fleeing and eluding, retail theft, DUI-drugs, criminal damage to state supported property, no valid registration and no insurance. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Leandro D. Schultz, 26, 930 S. Humphrey Apt. 1, Oak Park, was arrested and charged with DUI, no valid drivers license and no insurance after a traffic stop for speeding at 12:35 a.m. April 9 at York and Lake streets. Schultz was released on I-bond.

Isaac Ho Choon Kim, 21, 10418 W. Fullerton, Melrose Park, and Luis E. Serrano-Gonzalez, 21, 48 E. Fullerton Ave., Northlake, were arrested after an incident at 1:50 a.m. April 10 at the Adelaide parking deck, 120 W. Adelaide. Officers saw the two men involved in an argument and approached them. They discovered Kim, the driver, was found to be DUI, and passenger Serrano-Gonzalez was in possession of  a fake Social Security card and immigration resident card. Kim was charged under local ordinance for DUI and released on I-bond. Serrano-Gonzalez was charged on two state counts of attempted unlawful possession of a fictitious ID card and was released on bond.

Juan C. Robles, 23, 5304 W. Roscoe, Chicago, was arrested and charged with DUI and driving without a license after a traffic stop at 2:17 a.m. April 10 at York and Grand Avenue. He was released on I-bond.

Disorderly Conduct

Rebecca Brach, 26, 22W021 Second St., Glen Ellyn, was arrested and charged under city ordinance with disorderly conduct for public intoxication and fighting after an incident at 7:29 p.m. April 8 at Spring and St. Charles roads. Police responded to a call for a fight between Brach and a man, who police say Brach had pushed during an argument over a cell phone. Police said Brach was intoxicated. They discovered she had warrants out of DuPage County for failure to appear on a DUI charge and failure to appear on a possession of cannabis charge. She was given an I-bond on the Elmhurst charges and taken to DuPage County Jail on the warrants.

Forrest Bedke, 21, 157 N. Hampshire, Elmhurst, was charged under city ordinance with disorderly conduct for public intoxication, possession of drug paraphernalia and trespassing on railroad right of way. Police responded to a call that Bedke had fallen down in the grass by the railroad tracks at Haven Street. He was found sitting on the rocks in front of 145 E. First St., and reportedly admitted he had consumed four 40-ounce bottles of Cobra malt liquor. Medics were called to take him to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital due to his high level of intoxication. He was released on I-bond.

Aureliano Guzman-Alamo, 20, 405 N. Harbor Court, Northlake, was cited for public intoxication and prowling after an incident on the 100 block of E. South Street at 12:10 p.m. April 9. A woman told police she came home and noticed Guzman-Alamo sitting on the trampoline in her back yard. She tried to talk to him, but he was unresponsive. He was taken to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital and released on I-bond.

Criminal Damage

Daniel L. Judd, 23, 728 S. Euclid, was arrested and charged with criminal damage to property after he reportedly punched and broke the front window at Charlie’s Bar and Grill, 122 S. York St., at 12:58 a.m. April 10. When police arrived, Judd was face-down on the sidewalk being restrained by two bouncers, police said. He was released on bond.

Warrant Arrest

Jammie L. Sherrod, 27, 3116 Ernst St., Franklin Park, was arrested  on an outstanding warrant out of Cook County for failure to appear on a DUI charge after an incident at Fitz’s Pub, 172 N. Addison, at 12:54 a.m. April 1. Officers responded to Fitz’s for a battery report. A man told police he had heard some other men disrespecting women and stepped into the conversation. The man told police that three men started a fight with him and punched him in the face. Police said his face was bruised and he had a cut on his lip. A woman told police she was slapped in the face by one of the bouncers at Fitz’s. An investigation is pending. Sherrod was released on bond for the warrant arrest.
