Prowler Scatters Elmhurst Woman's 'Undergarments' & Steals $6K Worth of Jewelry: Cops

That was only "some" of the woman's jewelry, police said.

An Elmhurst woman returned to her East Grantley Avenue home to find prowlers had scattered her "undergarments" about her closet and stolen thousands of dollars of her jewelry, police said.

A police officer went to the woman's home about 11:45 a.m. Friday. Once he arrived, the officer was told that when the woman "entered her bedroom, she noticed her undergarments were scattered in her closet and some of her jewelry was missing," police said.

The value of "some" of the woman's jewelry was about $6,000, police said.

Is this news or a commentary? Why the emphasis on the word "some"?

The jewelry must be related to the undergarments. Clamps, tassels, piercings are some that come to mind. Thanks Patch, for keeping it clean.

Here we go again. Somebody needs to be apprehended and convicted. Elmhurst needs more police presence in the neighborhoods looking for burgalers rather than handing out traffic tickets. Come on guys, you're better than this.
