Police Say Tuesday Wasn't the First Time Wheaton Man was Arrested for DUI

Aggravated DUI Arrest

Michael Brady, 30, 1606 Stonebridge Trail, Wheaton, was arrested and charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without insurance after the gray Acura TL he was driving was involved in an accident with a vehicle drivin by a 24-year-old Villa Park man at Route 83 and North Avenue at 12:05 a.m. Feb. 12. Police said Brady, who had previous arrests for DUI, also was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was taken to Elmhurst hospital, then to DuPage County Jail. His vehicle was towed for forfeiture.

Warrant Arrests

Robert J. Schumacker, 46, 1878 Summerset Lane Apt. 3D, Glendale Heights, was arrested on warrants out of DeKalb and DuPage counties for failure to appear on charges of possession of drug equipment after police pulled over his blue Chevrolet Suburban for one headlight at 624 N. York Road at 8:30 p.m. Feb. 6. He also was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after police found a baggie of cannabis and a pipe in the vehicle. He was released on bond.

Corynne Miller, 24, 2106 S. Third Ave., Maywood, was arrested on a warrant out of DuPage County after police pulled over her brown Chevrolet Impala at Columbia and Emroy at 3:14 p.m. Jan. 29. She was relesed on bond.

Venika Peterson, 30, 1309 Kingsberry, Hanover Park, was arrested on a warrant out of DuPage County for failure to appear after police pulled over her gray Mazda 6 for failure to signal at Fullerton and York at 9:39 p.m. Feb. 8. She also attempted to give officers a false name and was found to have open alcohol in the vehicle, police said. she was released on bond.

Shawanda Walker, 34, 3039 N. LeClaire, Chicago, turned herself in at the Elmhurst Police Station on three warrants at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 9. She posted $1,650 for the warrants and was released.
