2 Arrested For Fraudulent Prescriptions

Two people arrested for attempting to acquire prescription drugs illegally.

Possession of Cannabis

Karina Martinez, 20, 1456 N. Ashland Apt. 2, Chicago, and Jared Solis, 22, 1127 Bonnie Brae Place Second Floor, River Forest, were cited for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia on the 400 block of West Lake Street at 9:44 p.m. Aug. 18. They were released on bond.

A 17-year-old girl was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia at York High School, 355 W. St. Charles Road, at 11:42 a.m. Aug. 20. Police said she had 1 gram of cannabis, a cannabis grinder and a glass smoking pipe. She was released on bond to her mother.

Louis M. Hernandez, 19, 7949 Shannon Court, Dublin, Calif., was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia at Elmhurst College, 190 S. Prospect, at 4:24 p.m. Aug. 21. College security notified Elmhurst police, who found 2.9 grams of cannabis, a metal grinder, a plastic grinder and a glass smoking pipe in Hernandez's dorm room, police said. He was released on bond.

Fraudulent Prescription

Ashley Sronkoski, 30, 890 N. Gannon, Hoffman Estates, was arrested and charged with attempted unlawful acquisition of a controlled substance after police say she attempted to fill and pick up a fraudulent prescription for hydrocodone at CVS Pharmacy, 110 W. North Ave., at 7:12 p.m. Aug. 19. She was released on bond.

Victoria Dailey, 34, 156 Lalonde Ave., Addison, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after she allegedly went to the police station at 1:18 p.m. Aug. 22 to report she had lost her medication at Berens Park. She told officers she needed a police report so her doctor could refill the prescription. Police said she had not lost prescription. She was released on bond.
