Police Report Vehicle Burglaries, Lockers Broken Into; Even Baby Jesus Isn't Off-Limits

Thefts reported Dec. 10 to 15.

Someone removed a clear plastic bag containing two black hoodies from the street in front of a home on the 400 block of North Addison between 4:15 and 4:30 p.m. Dec. 10. The victim said she placed the bag near her vehicle that was parked along the curb. Loss is $70.

Someone broke the window of a vehicle parked on the north side of Elmhurst College, 190 S. Prospect Ave., at 7:42 a.m. Dec. 11 and stole an $80  Vera Bradley flowered bag containing school supplies. Window damage is estimated at $150. Security cameras are aimed at the parking lot.

Someone smashed the front passenger window of a vehicle parked at Xsport Fitness, 621 W. North Ave., between 8:30 and  8:50 p.m. Dec. 12 and took a silver Gucci purse containing a drivers license, $145, makeup and credit cards.

Someone removed tools worth $1,400 from the tool box on the back of a pickup truck parked in the south lot at Extended Stay America between 8 p.m. Dec. 12 and 7:25 a.m. Dec. 13. The lock had been removed and was missing.

Someone made unauthorized charged on the Chase Bank account of a resident on the 300 block of North Myrtle between Dec. 8 and 14 in amounts ranging from $270 to $685. The transactions were posted by a Chicago cab company.

Someone removed a 32 GB Apple iPod Touch from a locked locker at York High School, 355 W. St. Charles Road, between 9:35 a.m. and 3 p.m. Dec. 8.

Someone removed the tool bag from the bed of a truck parked at St. Charles and Sturges Parkway between 4 and 4:15 p.m. Dec. 13. Loss is estimated at $600.

Someone removed a silver Sony Vaio laptop computer from a locked locker at York High School, 355 W. St. Charles Road, between 9:30 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. Dec. 13.

Someone removed a baby Jesus from the front yard of a home on the 299 block of North Highland between 2:45 p.m. Dec. 14 and 2:30 p.m. Dec. 15. Loss is estimated at $20.
