Police Report Recent Arrests for Drugs and Disorderly Conduct

Also, Elmhurst merchants need help in dealing with people exhibiting strange behavior.

Possession with an Intent to Deliver

Andre DeBruce, 27, 3108 St. Charles Road, Bellwood, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver after an incident at 4:08 p.m. Nov. 7. During a narcotics investigation, DeBruce arrived at a predetermined location on the 600 block of North York Road to allegedly deliver 34 bags of heroin. DeBruce fled from the scene on foot and was seen throwing a clear plastic baggie containing heroin packets. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Luis A. Rojas, 25, 1306 S. Finley Apt. 1, Lombard, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without a license after police pulled over his black Ford Ranger at 10:01 p.m. Nov. 7 at Roosevelt Road and Route 83.

Christopher W. Demondo, 26, 568 N. West Ave., was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after police pulled over his silver Nissan Maxima for speeding at 7:08 p.m. Nov. 7 at North Avenue and Willow. He was released on I-bond.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Kevin D. Gorman, 28, 1202 Lincoln Court, Streamwood, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after a vehicle he was riding in was pulled over for speeding at Interstate 290 and Route 83 at 2:44 p.m. Nov. 7. Police located hypodermic needles and a metal cooker in the vehicle. The driver, Krystin H. Kaminski, 26, 1112 Meadow Lane, Streamwood, was charged with speeding, driving without insurance and no seat belt. They were released on bond.

Disorderly Conduct

Larry Bebo, 52, 422 E. Church, Sandwich, was charged with disorderly conduct at 8:26 a.m. Nov. 2. Police said he was intoxicated, and he threw his bike and yelled at employees at Elmhurst Clinic, 172 E. Schiller. He was taken to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.

James R. Werderitch, 25, 217 W. Butterfield Road, Elmhurst, was charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly urinating outside of Charlie's Bar, 126 s. York Road, at 1:43 a.m. Nov. 6. He was released on I-bond at the scene.

Nicholas F. Tremmel, 23, 457 Washington St., Elmhurst, was charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly urinating outside of Charlie's Bar, 126 W. York Road, at 1:10 a.m. Nov. 6. He was released on I-bond at the scene.

Police responded to the train station, 128 W. First St., on a report of a man sleeping at 10:15 p.m. Nov. 10. Police discovered Joseph E. Henderson, 29, 2204 Ashbrook Lane, Plainfield, to be "highly intoxicated," they said. He allegedly also had two open bottles of beer next to him. He was charged with public intoxication and released on I-bond.

Suspicious Person
Officers were called to SBT Bank on South Spring Road at 3:41 p.m. Nov. 10 for a suspicious person. An employee told them that a man was in the bank, licking the countertops and spitting, then urinating behind the building. Police located the man and took him to the hospital. He also is on the "do not admit" list for PADS.

Police responded to Real Estate Investors, 611 N. York Road, at 8:13 p.m. Nov. 10 on a report of a person drinking alcohol out of a brown paper bag in the lobby. He was issued a no-trespass notice.
