Police Report Rage on the Roads of Elmhurst

One man brandished a billy club and then got pushed around, police said.

A road rage scuffle ended with a man getting knocked to the ground and held down, police said.

The restrained man told police an unspecified number of people approached his truck shortly before 4 a.m. Wednesday near the corner of Route 83 and North Avenue.

The man told the cops he "took an aluminum billy club and brandished it but put it away and exited his truck," police said.

The group then "knocked him down and held him from behind," the man reportedly told the cops.

The unspecified number of people who allegedly approached the truck told an officer the man "cut them off and when they approached him he took a swing at them with a club," police said.

The group "then pushed him down," police said.

No one was arrested.

Police failed to provide any information on the alleged combatants. Patch has requested additional details about the incident.
