As a parent, I am glad for this. Also, the police have stepped up their patrol- I never used to see patrol cars around my part of town, I have seen that increase in the last month and a half. Not too mention all this below- zip it with your PRIORITIES. You're acting like they aren't doing anything. Please. •Elmhurst Police Continue Their Take-Down of Alleged Drug Dealers •Elmhurst Police Investigation Leads to Another Arrest for Heroin Thursday •Bellw ood Man Arrested for Delivery of Crack Cocaine and Heroin •Another Narcotics Bust, Prowling Arrest •Elmhurst Police Arrest Woodridge Man for Possession of Large Amounts of Cocaine and Other Drugs •Addison Man Arrested for Delivery of Cocaine -UPDATE: Police Capture Man They Believe Burglarized South Street Home on Monday -Police Nab Pair Suspected in Several Elmhurst Burglaries Karen Chadra 2:36 pm on Monday, October 29, 2012 The headline is in reference to this being the fifth arrest of alleged drug dealers—not just drug users—in recent weeks. It is unprecedented in my time at Elmhurst Patch, and possibly during my time covering Elmhurst for The Doings, although I'd have to research that. This is an ongoing investigation that is having some tangible results. Some of the other arrests linked in this story were for larger quantities of drugs.
