Police Blotter: Warrants, Drugs and Theft

The following arrest information was supplied by the Elmhurst Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Resisting Arrest
Eddie Campos, 26, of the 600 block of North Oaklawn, was charged with obstruction and resisting arrest after he fled when police arrived at his home to serve him with four outstanding warrants around 10:15 a.m. on Aug. 3. Campos was taken into custody and is being held at DuPage County Jail. Two relatives - Rafael Campos Jr., 28, and Ariana Campos, 24, both of the same address, were each charged with misdemeanor attempted obstruction. They were released after posting bond.

Theft
Someone tool an X-Games BMX-style bike from a bike rack at East End Park between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Aug. 3. The bike was valued at $150.

Someone entered a hotel room in the 600 block of North York Road between 8:45 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Aug. 1 and took a wallet with credit cards and $160. The wallet was later found, but the money and credit card were missing.

Criminal Damage to Property
Two windows were smashed out on a Chrysler 300 parked at X-Sport Fitness, 621 W. North Ave. between 8 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. on Aug. 3. Damage was estimated at $400.

Drugs
Police investigating a suspicious vehicle near South and Hampshire around just before 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 3 reported seeing a 16-year-old boy sell marijuana to Gabriel E. Niechcial, 19, of the 900 block of South Hillside. Niechcial was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on an I-Bond. Police did not specify charges against the 16 year old, but noted he had been released pending juvenile court proceedings.

Jamal A. Small, 22, of Chicago, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, no insurance and failure to wear a seat belt after a traffic stop at York Road and the railroad tracks around 7 a.m. on Aug. 3. He was released after posting bond.

Burglary
Someone took cash, a canceled credit card, drivers license and a cell phone from an unlocked Cadillac DeVille parked at East End Pool between 12:20 and 3:20 p.m. on Aug. 3. No suspects were identified.
