Someone keyed a Jeep Liberty parked at 1200 S. York St. around noon on Dec. 12. Security later revealed the offender caught on camera. The complainant agreed to sign a complaint and was told to bring the vehicle to the police station for photos.
Someone cut the Christmas lights at a home on the 400 block of Park Manor between 4 and 11 p.m. Dec. 12. Damage is estimated at $120.
Someone threw orange paint on a vehicle parked on the 100 block of East Cayuge between 4:14 p.m. Dec. 17 and 6:20 a.m. Dec. 18. Damage is estimated at $50.
A BB gun reportedly was shot at a house and garage on the 600 block of North Indiana between Nov. 30 and Dec. 19. The resident noticed several BB-type holes on her house and garage that appeared to all come from the south and east. Attempts to contact the neighbors were unsuccessful. Damage is estimated at $1,000.
While on patrol at 7:30 a.m. Dec. 22, an officer notice that the light pole at the northwest corner of St. Charles and York Road was knocked down and there were tire marks through a front lawn of a residence at the corner.
Harold Gosa, 42, of Bellwood, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and attempted obstruction of justice after a traffic stop in the 400 block of South Spring around 1:32 p.m. on Dec. 25. The driver, Irene Litsos, 30, of Franklin Park, was charged with driving with a suspended license and improper lane use.
James C. Stavropoulos, 21, of the 100 block of Maple, was charged with marijuana possession after police responded to the 200 block of West First Street around 2 a.m. on Dec. 26 to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle. Stavropoulos was released on bond.
