Police Blotter: DUI and Traffic Offenses

Incidents reported by Elmhurst Police.

Traffic

Linzy Geller, 25, of Streamwood, was charged with no driver’s license and no insurance after a traffic stop around 1:30 a.m. near Route 83 and North Avenue. She was released after posting $200 bond, police said.

Jacqueline Merrill, 28, of Aurora, was charged with driving without a license, no insurance, no headlights and failure to secure a child after a traffic stop near Third and York Road around 1:30 a.m. on July 29. She was released with an I-Bond.

Victor Garcia, 29, of Chicago, was charged with no driver’s license and speeding following a stop at North Avenue and Illinois around 5 p.m. on July 29, police reported.

DUI

Maria Alicea, 30, of Villa Park, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence, and single counts of improper lane usage, driving with a suspended license and driving with one headlight after a traffic stop near North Avenue and York Road around 2:30 a.m. on July 28. She was released on an I-Bond.

Scott Stojak, 19, of the 800 block of Bryan, was charged with improper lane use, no driver’s license on person, improper parking, illegal transportation of alcohol and two counts of driving under the influence after a traffic stop around 2:30 a.m. near York and Church. Stojak was released with an I-Bond.

Marion Pozatek, 89, of Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence after a traffic stop for improper lane use near North Avenue and Maple around 8:45 p.m. on July 29. Pozatek failed field sobriety tests and was released on an I-Bond, police said.
