Police Blotter: Drivers Charged with License Violations
Items from the Elmhurst police reports dated June 9 to 14.
Driving with a Revoked License
Romelio Evangelista, 26, 413 N. Iowa, Villa Park, was arrested and charged with driving with a revoked license after police pulled over his Mitsubishi Galant for speeding at 370 N. Route 83 at 9:35 a.m. June 8. During a search of the vehicle, officers discovered a baggie of suspect cannabis, police said. He was released on bond.
Ulysses Grant Jackson, 46, 1435 Gordon Ave., Calumet City, was arrested and charged with driving with a revoked license and possession of cannabis after police pulled over his Oldsmobile Intrigue for speeding and no seat belt at St. Charles and Fair at 5:24 p.m. June 11. He was released on I-bond.
Driving with a Suspended License
Benjamin Elzy, 22, 1124 N. Leamington, Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license after police pulled over his Pontiac Grand Am at Highview and North at 11:43 p.m. June 7. He was released on bond.
Desmond Curry, 21, 2247 S. 14th, Broadview, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance and obstructing identification after police pulled over his Buick LeSabre for no rear registration plate light and obstructed view at Roosevelt and Summit at 12:44 a.m. June 8. Police said he gave a false name and date of birth. He was released on bond.
Margaret Beasley, 28, 244 E. St. Charles Road Apt. 1B, Carol Stream, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license and failure to secure children after police pulled over her Chevrolet Lumina for failure to dim headlights at St. Charles and Route 83 at 12:04 a.m. June 9. She was released on I-bond.
Raul Medina Jr., 19, 1633 N. 43rd Ave., Stone Park, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license after police pulled over his Chevrolet Trailblazer for illegal use of an amplified sound system at St. Charles and Fair at 5:26 a.m. June 10. He was released on I-bond.
Driving Without a License
Carlos Solis, 39, 1107 Medinah St., Bensenville, was arrested and charged with driving without a license and driving without insurance after police pulled over his white Nissan Sentra for no seat belt at 1003 N. York at 6:40 p.m. June 14.
