Police Arrest Woman for Keeping a Place of Prostitution

Police discovered her after she placed an ad online.

Lexine F. Dumas 41, 120 E. Fremont, was arrested and charged with keeping a place of prostitution at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 9, after she reportedly posted an ad online offering sex for money.

Police set up surveillance of her home.

Dumas allegedly allowed officers to search the residence, and they found various items of a sexual nature throughout the basement.

Police said she told them she had one paying customer.

She was released on I-bond and taken to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital for evaluation.
