Police Arrest Chicago Man Accused of Delivering Heroin in Elmhurst

Elmhurst police continue investigations, crack-down on illegal drugs.

A Chicago man was arrested Friday as a result of an ongoing Elmhurst police investigation and charged with delivery of heroin.

Jimmy L. Rogers, 21, 1141 S. Troy, Chicago, was a passenger in a silver Toyota Yaris police pulled over on the 600 block of North York Road at 5:45 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4. Police said they recovered 15 bags of heroin in the vehicle.

Rogers was taken to DuPage County Jail, where he is being held on $7,500 bond. His next court date is Feb. 11. The driver, Justin L. Ellis, 20, of 3150 W. Arthington, Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended license.
