Panhandler Arrested for Possession of Needles, Drug Paraphernalia

Police said Bensenville man had a fresh needle mark on his skin.

A man who was panhandling in the roadway at Route 83 and Riverside Drive was arrested at 4:34 p.m. Tuesday by Elmhurst police, according to a police report released Wednesday.

Police who questioned Kevin Beauregard, 22, 640 S. York Road Apt. 314, Bensenville, said they discovered he had a bleeding needle mark on his skin, and four used needles and one heroin cooker in his possession.

Beauregard was charged under state statute with unlawful possession of hypodermic needles, possession of drug paraphernalia and improper walking in a roadway. He was released on I-bond.
