Paintball Gunman Shoots Elmhurst Mother in Buttocks

A car may have been hit with a paintball fired by the same sharpshooter.

A woman out walking with her daughters in Elmhurst was targeted by a paintball sniper who shot her in the buttocks, police said.

The woman reportedly told police she and her daughters were walking along East Lake Street Frontage Road about 8 p.m. Monday when a "dark colored car passed and they heard a loud bang."

The woman "felt pain to her left buttocks," police said. "It appears she was struck by an orange paintball projectile."

Paramedics were called out but the woman refused treatment, police said.

The cops then discovered the gunman was not done bothering the people of Elmhurst.

"At the same time it was learned that a vehicle traveling in the area of North and Michigan was struck by an orange paintball projectile from a passing vehicle," police said.
