Owner of Little Shopper Charged with Sale or Delivery of Drug Paraphernalia

The following arrest information was supplied by the Elmhurst Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The owner of the Little Shopper, 697 N. York Road in Elmhurst, has turned himself in at the Elmhurst Police Station on the charge of sale or delivery of drug paraphernalia.

Pervaiz Akhtar, 51, 2732 Flagstone Circle, Naperville, was not at the store June 23 when police served a search warrant and recovered dozens of items of suspected drug paraphernalia, which had been on display for retail sale at the store.

Akhtar's bond was set at $10,000. He posted bond and was given a court date of June 27.
