Orland Park Woman Charged With Having Fake ID After Lost Wallet Turns Up

The young woman's fake ID was found inside the recovered wallet.

A young woman from Orland Park was fortunate enough to get her lost wallet back but the Elmhurst cops went and charged her with a crime when they found a fake ID in it, police said.

Elmhurst College security guards found 20-year-old Sara Pickens' wallet Thursday afternoon.

"Sara Pickens was the owner, but inside the wallet contained an ID for" another individual, police said. "Pickens said she purchased the ID for $50 from a bar in Chicago."

An officer spoke to the owner of the recovered identification card and learned "she wasn't even aware that her ID was missing," police said.

Pickens was charged with possessing a fraudulent identification.
