A tombstone was discovered on a Sunnyside Avenue property but the police can't figure out where it came from.

Elmhurst police officers were sent to check out the found tombstone about 4 p.m. Sunday.

"The property adjacent to this is in the final stages of construction," police said.

"It is unknown where this headstone originated," police said. "Searches through various databases for any information on the name/date produced negative results."

The Elmhurst police released none of the information they ran through "various databases" in their failed attempt to learn more about the tombstone.

The Elmhurst Police should pretend it was an illegal sandwich board from downtown, they would be fingerprinting, have the suspect on video and charges coming forthwith.
