Easy Riders—Motorcycle Tough Guys Argue Over Music in Elmhurst: Police

Somebody told the police one of the men had a knife but it looks like he didn't after all.

The cops went to a Butterfield Road gas station to check out a report of a man on a motorcycle pulling a knife on another man on a motorcycle Wednesday evening, police said.

When the cops got to the service station at 218 E. Butterfield only one of the motorcycle men was to be found and he didn't even have a knife, police said.

An officer "detained" the man for safety reasons and then asked him about what was going on at the gas station, police said.

"Upon further questioning, the suspect admitted to arguing with an unknown subject at the gas station because his music was being played too loud," police said. "The suspect stated at no time did he have a knife."

The officer reportedly found the man to be unarmed and allowed to leave without any more trouble.
