More Police on the Streets Lead to Arrests for Heroin, DUI and Driving Without a License.

Police release weekend results of enhanced enforcement campaign.

were on the roads through the Labor Day holiday thanks to a year-long grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation to find impaired drivers. The following arrests were made Aug. 31-Sept. 3.

Possession of Heroin

Carlos Feliciano, 52, 117 Arthur Ave., South Elgin, and Angel Feliciano, 56, of the same address, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance after police pulled over their red Honda CRV for speeding at Interstate 290 and Route 83 at 7:50 p.m. Sept. 1. They were both found to be in possession of heroin. They were taken to DuPage County Jail.

Police arrested several people after their white Mercury Sable was pulled over at 4:20 p.m. Sept. 3 at I-290 and York Road. Police found .6 grams of heroin, a spoon containing heroin residue and a hypodermic needle. Abraham Diaz, 22, 38 N. School St., Addison, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic needle. Daniel Cervantes, 28, 526 Linda Lane, Addison, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. And, Jaime S. Solis, 21, 71 Michael Lane, Addison, was charged with speeding.

DUI Arrests

Aileen Torres, 22, 4854 W. Newport, Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after police pulled over her black Saturn Vue for improper lane use and failure to reduce speed on eastbound North Avenue between West and Myrtle at 1:23 a.m. Sept. 1. She was released on bond.

Mildred Robles, 26, 1237 N. Avers, Chicago, was arrested and charged with DUI after her gray Nissan Altima was involved in an accident with a 55-year-old Melrose Park resident at St. Charles and Route 83 12:49 a.m. Sept. 2. She was released on bond.

Jason Dukala, 35, 434 Highland, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of synthetic cannibis, and driving with a suspended license after police pulled over his white Dodge Caravan for speeding and disobeying a traffic control device at Lake and Church streets at 2:31 a.m. Sept. 2. He was released on I-bond.

Emmanuel Navarro, 21, 1444 S. Lombard, Berwyn, was arrested and charged with DUI and driving without a license after police pulled over his brown Nissan Maxima for failure to signal at Spring Road and Harrison Street at 4:59 a.m. Sept. 2. He was released on bond.

Andres Silva, 24, 807 Sumac, Streamwood, was arrested and charged with DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia and transportation of open alcohol after police pulled over his silver Chevolet Impala for improper lane use and speeding at North Avenue and Route 83 at 2:19 a.m. Sept. 3. He was released on I-bond. A passenger, Joel Moyetan, 21, 617 Arnold, Streamwood, was arrested on a warrant out of Kane County. He was released on bond.

Driving Without a License

Ricardo Castillo-Vera, 27, 2538 N. Nordica, Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving without a license, driving without insurance, no registration and failure to secure a child after police pulled over his black Honda Accord at North and Melrose at 12:29 a.m. Aug. 31. He was released on I-bond.

David Gonzalez-Silva, 43, 4554 N. Central Park Ave., Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving without a license and transportation of open alcohol after police pulled over his Ford Explorer for failure to signal at Lake Street and Interstate 290 at 1:57 p.m. Aug. 31.
