Man Pulls Knife in Attempt to Steal Marijuana and Money

Admissions all around, no charges filed.

Elmhurst police responded to an attempted armed robbery on the 100 block of East Third Street at about 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19.

Multiple victims told police a man had been threatening them with a knife. The offender admitted to threatening the victims with a knife because they owed him money, police said. He also admitted to attempting to rob a victim of his marijuana and money.

The victims refused to sign complaints and no charges were filed. The age and the name of the suspect was not released.
