Elmhurst Man Reports Suspect Fired Two Shots

Gun was not recovered.

A resident on the 200 block of North Berteau told police that a man he had been in an argument with fired a gun out of his car window Sunday.

Police were called to the scene for a domestic incident at 12:47 p.m. They met with the victim, who has children with a woman who now reportedly lives with the suspect, a 47-year-old Streamwood man. The victim told police he argued with the suspect over the discipline of the victim’s two daughters.

The victim told police the suspect got into his car and grabbed a handgun and pointed it at him. The victim walked away, and as the suspect drove off, he allegedly held the gun out of the window and fired two shots.

The suspect was apprehended but no gun was recovered. The assistant state’s attorney denied charges since no weapon was found.
