Man Indicted on Charges He Stole Air Jordans at Gunpoint

Darien triple murder and other DuPage County cases also moving forward.

Elmhurst—A grand jury this week indicted a Bellwood man on a charge he robbed an Elmhurst man of his new Air Jordans last month. was arrested and charged with armed robbery after police linked him to a Christmas Eve holdup of a man trying exchange new Air Jordans through a Craigslist ad. Payton is alleged to have been armed with a gun during the incident, which involved a second suspect, according to authorities.

Darien—Judge Daniel Guerin scheduled a Feb. 9 hearing for attorneys in triple-murder case to offer their arguments over medical records his defense team is interested in analyzing ahead of a possible trial. Borizov is accused in the murders of three members of the Kramer family in March 2010. His co-defendant, Jacob Nodarse, pleaded guilty last year and is expected to testify against Borizov. Nodarse mental health records, as well as those of Angela Kramer - the mother of Borizov's son - are being sought by the defense for various reasons.

Darien—A married couple from the western Illinois town of Walnut has been indicted on heroin possession charges connected to their Christmas Eve arrest in Darien. were arrested Dec. 24 on charges of possession of a controlled substance and child endangerment. Prosecutors allege the couple left their two children in a running car while they shot up heroin in a gas station bathroom. Andrew Burr is scheduled to appear for arraignment on Monday. Georgina Burr has a Feb. 6 court date.

Naperville—One of four men accused in a June home invasion has pleaded guilty. admitted to one count of attempted armed robbery in an agreement with prosecutors, who dropped five other counts, but did not include a deal on sentencing. Guyton, Kendyl Gill, Brandon Reynolds and Robert Jackson were arrested on charges they broke into a woman's apartment on Fairway Drive and stole a cell phone. Guyton was involved in a traffic incident a short time after the break in and reportedly told a police officer that his girlfriend had just been robbed. Guyton is scheduled to be sentenced on March 6.
